Playing in the house band at the Dirty Gerund, I've gotten to meet many talented musician who's graced us with their ruckus. But little did I know a little drummer boy from Alabama would roll through to play in the house band and become the missing piece to my musical puzzle. I got to hear Matt play drums for the poets during their set, and was very pleased when he agreed to jam one day. We clicked instantly and I knew he'd be the backbone my music needed going forward. I'm very honored he's agreed to join me on this journey, and it's a privilege to call him a friend, and a bandmate.

One day I stopped by Husky's for comedy night, after recently having lost some shows that were booked due to a venue closing down. Liz, the lady who runs the show there, was kind enough to give us Thursday nights to book acts from all over to show their stuff, and the bar donates a percentage of the night's sales back to the performers. Having begun in June of 2024, Thursdays Tasty Tunes shows at Husky's have hosted over 100 acts!

I had heard of the Boland's Pub open mic through my friend Alex (Old Tom) , and was pleasantly surprised to see a cellist was there to perform as well. I played a couple of new songs I was working on, one of which was "Alone Again", and he asked me after that if he could possibly play with me and add some cello to my songs. We played several open mics together after that, and I could feel his level of experience would compliment my music in a way I couldn't even begin to understand. One day, at a WASSA open mic, I asked Skip to join Tasteless Jack officially, and the rest is history.

Tucked behind a lovely little lot off Rt 20, you'll find an amazing Distillery with strong spirits, joyful crowds, and amazing ambience. The name "Deep Roots" fits when you consider the amazing community they've built around themselves. Not only do they make and serve amazing whiskey like their "Beneath the Bark Maple" , but they also offer delicious rum like their "Honey Habanero", as well as Gin, Vodka and other liqueurs! Deep Roots hosts live music, and they're also next-door to an axe throwing facility! And if you're in the mood for a beer, they also offer select options from Altruist Brewing! Very excited to be back here next year!!!

Over the last year, I can honestly say that Otter River Pub is one of my favorite places to perform at. They do great work to support their local music scene with weekly open mics and yearly songs contests (hosted by our good friend Franco O'Malley) , and their crowds always have amazing energy! I love taking requests for covers here! Having come back from a devastating fire, this place has rebuilt itself many times over and has shown itself to be a venue that will go down in the history books of many a musician. I'm hype for my shows there next year, and may bring along some more talent to play some of those shows with me!

Hailing from the rugged yet loveable city of Worcester, MA, Tasteless Jack is an acoustic act from brainchild guitarist Jorge Ramirez, accompanied by cellist Skip Von Kuske, and drummer Matt Greene, all of whom share a universal passion for music.
Their songs range in a variety of styles, from soft fingerpicking in the vein of Iron & Wine

Their songs range in a variety of styles, from soft fingerpicking in the vein of Iron & Wine, and the strong, passionate wails of Pearl Jam, to the intricate strumming patterns of Dave Matthews, their music composition isn’t beholden to any specific genre. Hence the name, “Tasteless Jack”. Tasteless Jack was nominated for best Male Vocalist at the 2025 Worcester Magazine Music Awards, he is a member of the Dirty Gerund Poetry Show house band where he performs regularly on Monday nights, and he regularly performs and hosts musicians Thursday nights at Huskys Pub for his Tasty Tunes series. His single “Weather” is currently out on Spotify and Apple Music!
