Playing in the house band at the Dirty Gerund, I've gotten to meet many talented musician who's graced us with their ruckus. But little did I know a little drummer boy from Alabama would roll through to play in the house band and become the missing piece to my musical puzzle. I got to hear Matt play drums for the poets during their set, and was very pleased when he agreed to jam one day. We clicked instantly and I knew he'd be the backbone my music needed going forward. I'm very honored he's agreed to join me on this journey, and it's a privilege to call him a friend, and a bandmate.

Hotel Vernon is staple of Worcester MA, supplying locals with cold fresh pints of beer for the past 125 years. Originally a hotel with a running speak easy in the basement, folks used to knock on the stairs under the women's bathroom and whisper "madam rhubarb" to be allowed entry. Hundreds of musical acts have performed here over the decades, and i'm doing my part to keep the legacy alive! I had heard of the Boland's Pub open mic through my friend Alex (Old Tom) , and was pleasantly surprised to see a cellist was there to perform as well. I played a couple of new songs I was working on, one of which was "Alone Again", and he asked me after that if he could possibly play with me and add some cello to my songs. We played several open mics together after that, and I could feel his level of experience would compliment my music in a way I couldn't even begin to understand. One day, at a WASSA open mic, I asked Skip to join Tasteless Jack officially, and the rest is history.

Hailing from the rugged yet loveable city of Worcester, MA, Tasteless Jack is an acoustic act from brainchild guitarist Jorge Ramirez, accompanied by cellist Skip Von Kuske, and drummer Matt Greene, all of whom share a universal passion for music.
Their songs range in a variety of styles, from soft fingerpicking in the vein of Iron & Wine

Their songs range in a variety of styles, from soft fingerpicking in the vein of Iron & Wine, and the strong, passionate wails of Pearl Jam, to the intricate strumming patterns of Dave Matthews, their music composition isn’t beholden to any specific genre. Hence the name, “Tasteless Jack”. Tasteless Jack was nominated for best Male Vocalist at the 2025 Worcester Magazine Music Awards, he is a member of the Dirty Gerund Poetry Show house band where he performs regularly on Monday nights, and he regularly performs and hosts musicians Thursday nights at Huskys Pub for his Tasty Tunes series. His single “Weather” is currently out on Spotify and Apple Music!
